I shot this earlier today around 1pm, 1/1/09 at Runyon canyon next to the Hollywood Hills hiking with my wife. A woman twisted her ankle and couldnt make it down so they called two rescue evacuation helicopters and some firetrucks.

On our annual trip to Michigan from Wisconsin to slope fly at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and later water fly our RC planes in Brighton, MI. we decided to have a bit of fun. NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Coast Guard evacuated two crewmen from an oil platform approximately 80 miles south of New Orleans, Nov. 9, 2009. The Coast Guard responded to a request to evacuate the men after a lift boat tied to the rig broke loose and damaged a walkway between a berthing platform and the main platform. BERING SEA - A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted Holden Jonan-Serrano, an El Salvadorian citizen, after he reportedly sustained an injury to his right eye when he collided with a pipe while working aboard the Dutch Harbor-based 124-foot fishing vessel Clipper Surprise more than 50 miles north of Dutch Harbor Monday. The man was one of seven rescued from the Gulf of Mexico after their vessel the, MissinÕ Link sank 130 miles southeast of Galveston Texas.
