The Challenge covers a total distance of 3,147 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide. Today, ten percent of America’s workforce is unemployed, and many more workers are facing underemployment or enduring poor working conditions and inadequate supports and benefits.Jody Heymann, founder and director of the Project on Global Working Families and a professor in the Faculties of Medicine and Arts at McGill University, has written a new book entitled Raising the Global Floor (to be released on November 17th).
