I shot this earlier today around 1pm, 1/1/09 at Runyon canyon next to the Hollywood Hills hiking with my wife. A woman twisted her ankle and couldnt make it down so they called two rescue evacuation helicopters and some firetrucks.

SAN DIEGO — An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Sector San Diego safely transported a passenger from a cruise ship approximately 170 miles south of San Diego, Monday afternoon. NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Coast Guard evacuated two crewmen from an oil platform approximately 80 miles south of New Orleans, Nov. 9, 2009. The Coast Guard responded to a request to evacuate the men after a lift boat tied to the rig broke loose and damaged a walkway between a berthing platform and the main platform. HOUSTON - The Coast Guard medevaced a 43-year-old male from the motor vessel Sicily, 28 nautical miles southeast of Galveston, Wednesday afternoon. The Coast Guard launched an Air Station Houston MH-65 rescue helicopter crew to medevac the man. BERING SEA - A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted Holden Jonan-Serrano, an El Salvadorian citizen, after he reportedly sustained an injury to his right eye when he collided with a pipe while working aboard the Dutch Harbor-based 124-foot fishing vessel Clipper Surprise more than 50 miles north of Dutch Harbor Monday. The man was one of seven rescued from the Gulf of Mexico after their vessel the, MissinÕ Link sank 130 miles southeast of Galveston Texas. A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and crew medevacs a 32-year-old man from the 165-foot Seattle based fishing vessel Bountiful with reported symptoms of pneumonia to the St. Paul clinic, Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. The Bountiful was approximately 150 miles northwest of St. Paul. An HC-130 Hercules aircraft and crew was diverted to relay communications with the helicopter.
